PVC coated steel wire rope has outstanding corrosion resistance, and its corrosion resistance in air, mine water, and seawater is 3.5 to 5 times longer than that of general galvanized steel wire rope. Coated steel wire rope has good wear resistance due to the coating separating the wires and strands inside the rope. It can be used under dynamic loads such as lifting and transportation, and its service life is 1.5 to 2 times that of ordinary steel wire rope. The fatigue resistance of coated steel wire rope is good, for example, the durability of steel wire rope with nylon coating and nylon core is about twice that of ordinary hemp core or metal core steel wire rope.
